How We Roll

Peace, Love, Unity & Respect

This year’s parade motto is “LOVE IS STRONGER,” and it’s more than just a saying—it’s our guiding principle in everything we do. The Rave The Planet Parade is a celebration of community, a place where we come together to party, dance, and peacefully advocate for a better world.

We’d love to share some tips, recommendations, and a few guidelines with you on this page to help make it an unforgettable day and a joyful demonstration for everyone.

Must-haves:

• Drinking water (refillable or plastic bottles)
• Sunscreen
• Comfortable shoes
• Power bank
• Earplugs
Portable ashtray
• Hygiene items
• Blister bandages
• Hand sanitizer
• Medications
• Emergency contacts
• Backup cash
• Willingness to help
• Tolerance
• Good vibes
• …and your cheerful signs that fit the motto “Love is Stronger”

What else?

Sunglasses, a hat, bubble wands, sunflowers, body paint, whistles, gum, lip balm, LED accessories, pocket/wet wipes, female urinals, trash bags, a flashlight (the Tiergarten gets dark after sunset), Vitamin C, magnesium tablets, snacks, a first aid kit, a rain poncho… and a bag to fit it all in.

No-Go’s:

• Glass items, e.g., bottles
• Plastic confetti
• Foil balloons
• Sharp or pointed objects
• Pyrotechnics (fireworks, flares, etc.)
• Drones
• National flags*
• Climbing lampposts (or traffic lights, etc.)**
• Cargo bikes

Yes, we know — rules aren’t much fun.

To make sure the parade is a safe, harmonious, and positive experience for everyone—and for the nature in the Tiergarten—it’s important that we all follow a few basic guidelines. So, please leave the items listed above at home. They can cause injuries, accidents, provoke others, or put you and others at risk.

*Why no national flags?

For this one day, we want to leave behind all divisions and man-made boundaries. Back to the roots—WE ARE ONE FAMILY.

“We’re not just demonstrating for something, we’re demonstrating something.”
— Ralf Regitz, Loveparade Organizer

We’re demonstrating community, unity, tolerance, peace, respect, and love—the values of techno culture. Love is stronger.

So, please see these basic guidelines as positive tools to help make the Rave The Planet Parade the shining beacon of love that the Loveparade once was.

**Why not climb on lampposts and such?

Simply put: Because climbing on them can lead to injuries and sometimes serious accidents.

Here’s an example from 2023:
A person fell from a traffic light and was injured so severely that they spent several weeks in a coma. Not something you’d want, right?

In the excitement of the parade, it’s easy to overestimate your abilities or not realize that heat, alcohol, or other substances might be affecting you. These situations can quickly become dangerous, leading not only to injuries for yourself but also putting others around you at risk.

So, please stay on the ground—rave and stay safe!

Committment
