The Rave The Planet Parade is a political demonstration and currently the biggest techno parade in Germany. For the second time, we will take to the streets with interesting speeches and lots of music on July 08, 2023 to demonstrate for “peace, preservation of the electronic music culture and the recognition of its cultural and social achievements”.

The motto of the Rave The Planet Parade 2023 is

“Music Is The Answer”

What was the question? Let’s boil it down…

Rave The Planet, that’s our name and also our mission statement. Electronic music always had and still has the power to make the world a better place. It brings us together peacefully without making a difference. techno parades are open and free for all people, no matter what nation, religion, skin color, gender classification, social background and so on.

Music is our common language and our means of understanding. The beat enables many hearts to beat together as one and thus makes it possible to overcome what divides and strengthen what unites. This is the basis for peace.

Therefore: Don’t talk – dance! #MusicIsTheAnswer

You have questions? Please check our FAQ first. There we provide answers to the most frequently asked questions about our non-profit organization and the parade.

If you don’t find what you are looking for, please send us an email using our contact form. We are currently receiving a lot of inquiries, so if it takes us a little longer to reply, we thank you for your patience.

Line Up:

The line-up will be announced here as soon as the application phase for the floats is over and we have selected the participating crews. This will probably be at the end of March 2023.

IMPORTANT INFO:

Dear artists,

many of you have the desire to perform at the parade. So we’d like to briefly inform you that for now this is only possible on one of the floats (music trucks). At our demonstration each float is responsible for their own line-up. We are not a festival. We do not arrange bookings for the floats.

If you want to participate with your own float, please send us an application via our online platform. There you will find all details you need for the application and some further information.

Speeches:

All speakers and their topics will be announced about 2 months before the parade. You have suggestions? Feel free to send them to us via our contact form.

Political Demands:

  1. Recognition of electronic music culture as a cultural asset worthy of protection, with reference to our UNESCO application for recognition of “Techno Culture in Berlin” as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.

  2. Equal status for electronic music culture with all other, established cultural forms and institutions, as well as equal claims and opportunities for government funding.

  3. Protection of clubs and other venues as cultural sites.

  4. Unconditional basic income for artists and cultural workers.

  5. Implementation of the public holiday “Day Of Electronic Music Culture”, annually on the second Saturday in July (traditional day of the Berlin Love Parade).

  6. A general and nationwide abolition of all dance bans, especially on Christian holidays.

  7. The right to cultural and non-verbal dance and music demonstrations, free of compulsory verbal contributions, so that demonstrations, in particular of electronic music culture, are in principle legally recognized as assemblies in the sense of § 8 GG (German Constitution).

  8. Peace and the disarmament between all people, in words and deeds.

Do you have questions or suggestions regarding our demands? You would like to propose a speech? Drop us a line!

Coming soon, we’ll update you about the schedule, the route, how you can help and much more. Just check back or subscribe to our newsletter to make sure you don’t miss any news.

DEMO ROUTE

We are expecting a large number of participants again this year. In order to ensure the safety of everyone, including the Berliners who are not participating in the parade, the police have instructed us to relocate the demonstration route completely into the Tiergarten district. This means that the parade will exclusively move along the Straße des 17. Juni, between Brandenburg Gate and Großer Stern (included). The floats will drive in a circular motion there.
