Peaceful. Safe. Politically Powerful: Rave The Planet Parade 2025
Press Release
Berlin, July 14, 2025 – On July 12, over 200,000 people gathered in Berlin for the Rave The Planet Parade – “Our Future Is Now” demonstration. Despite unpredictable weather, crowds came together to dance and raise their voices for peace, cultural freedom, and positive societal change in these challenging times.
Opening with Purpose: Speeches Set Strong Political Tone
The event began with opening remarks from Dr. Motte, Love Parade co-founder, who emphasized the demonstration’s mission and the significance of this year’s theme: “Our Future Is Now”.
Marcel Weber of ClubCommission Berlin followed with a compelling speech, stating that club culture is essential to democracy – a space for resistance, diversity, and solidarity. His demands included designated cultural protection zones, increased political and financial support for clubs and open-air events, and broader recognition of neurodiversity, inclusion, equality, and queer life protection.
The entire opening rally was streamed live to all 35 floats and across the parade route. Immediately afterward, the official anthem “Our Future Is Now” by Dr. Motte and Marc van Linden set the tone as the demonstration began its procession from Brandenburg Gate to Großer Stern at 2:00 PM.
Music and Messages: A Parade of Diversity and Depth
Throughout the day, 35 floats featured 290 DJs and 56 speakers delivering an emotionally charged and thought-provoking mix of music and political discourse.
From global icons to emerging talents, the musical lineup reflected the electronic music scene’s rich diversity and openness. Well-known festivals and collectives such as Verknipt (NL), Open Beatz, Technopia (BE), Docklands / Fusion / The Island, Club OST, The Bootcamp Goa (IN), and Trendwænde (AT) all brought their unique flavors to the parade.
Special recognition went to floats with social and political missions: The Kids Rave Float showcased under-18 talents from around the world. Initiatives like Melodienschmiede e.V. and OBSN e.V. promoted youth empowerment and inclusion. Berlin collectives like Buschtanz x Operator x Schmækt, Mauerpark-Live-Kommando, and others made powerful cultural statements.
The mix of sounds, languages, and perspectives proved: Techno is more than music. It is a movement – and that movement was both heard and felt.
Closing Rally: A Call for Peace and Unity
At 9:10 PM, Dr. Motte delivered a closing message broadcast live to all floats, calling for global peace and reminding everyone that each of us is part of the change. At 10:00 PM, the event ended with the sound of “OM,” creating a moment of spiritual unity and signaling a peaceful conclusion to the demonstration.
Clean-Up Day Sets a New Standard
The following day, the Clean-Up Day was another major success. Based on the 1997 Love Parade cleanup, this year’s strategy paid off: The Tiergarten was restored within a day thanks to Rave The Planet’s volunteer Eco Team.
Due to rain and reduced crowds on the lawns, waste was significantly lower. Berlin’s waste management service (BSR) reported just 76 cubic meters of street waste – a record low. Volunteers’ collected amounts from the park are still being recorded and will be published soon.
For the first time, the World Cleanup Initiative joined in, providing international support and additional materials for our teams – a powerful display of global cultural solidarity.
Around 120 people participated, including many float crews and even three students from Berlin’s Gottfried-Keller-Gymnasium volunteering as part of a school project. Their contribution embodied the spirit of this year’s motto: “Our Future Is Now”.
Rave The Planet once again demonstrated what lies at its core: a passionate, supportive community committed to a better future – on the dance floor, in the streets, and during cleanup.
Health & Safety: A Proven Concept
Despite rain, the parade remained peaceful and upbeat. Police reported no significant crime, with incidents in line with previous years.
The parade’s privately funded medical concept, provided by MOL Medical, once again ensured safety for all. With over €100,000 invested annually, this year’s medical services logged 392 treatments. Approximately 60 people were transferred to public emergency services – most for substance-related issues. While some cases were temporarily critical, none were beyond expectations for an event of this scale.
Compared to 2024, treatments dropped by 50%, and there were no major injuries. Cooperation with Berlin’s fire and rescue services was efficient and structured, ensuring smooth operations. The transition at 10:00 PM and full closure at midnight went as planned.
Authorities and crews alike handled the weather conditions with professionalism, and post-event feedback confirmed excellent cooperation across agencies.
Trust and Teamwork with Berlin Authorities
Police and fire departments again praised the parade’s organization and collaboration. Rave The Planet works in a spirit of trust and respect with Berlin’s city authorities, always seeking joint solutions when differences arise.
We thank all public bodies involved for their continued support of this now fourth demonstration. We encourage everyone to focus on verified information, especially in light of sensational headlines not reflecting official reports.
We also wish all individuals who required medical attention a full and speedy recovery.
Special Thanks to MOL Medical & Our Volunteers
Huge thanks to MOL Medical for their outstanding service since 2023 – delivering safe, compassionate care across the entire route.
We also thank our hundreds of volunteers whose work made this event possible: from Awareness Teams and Clean-Up Crews to Info Point hosts and team leads – your dedication and solidarity define what Rave The Planet stands for.
Looking Ahead: Rave The Planet Parade 2026
Rave The Planet will continue to raise its voice for peace, community, freedom, tolerance, and cultural diversity. Our next demonstration is scheduled for summer 2026 in Berlin. The date will be announced soon.
