Rave The Planet awarded as “Regional Hero 2025”

Honored for Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurship

What does techno have to do with entrepreneurship? Turns out, a lot – when values, responsibility, and cultural impact come together. We found the answers at deGUT – Germany’s largest startup and entrepreneurship fair, held on October 11, 2025, in Berlin.

Founding with Purpose

From the moment we arrived, the vibe was strong: warm reunions with familiar faces, inspiring convos at ARENA Berlin, and lots of excitement for what was ahead.

The “Regional Hero” award, presented annually by MiU24®, recognizes companies and organizations that go beyond profit to take real social responsibility. The selection criteria include: sustainability, social impact, and a clear values-based mission.

This year, the decision was already made before the event – no application round, no pitch competition, no vote. The jury had unanimously selected Rave The Planet, or more precisely, rave the planet gGmbH.

We were honored not just for our years of dedication to Berlin’s techno culture, but also for our commitment to cultural inclusion, public benefit, and civic engagement – a rare combination in today’s business world.

Award Ceremony & Photo Moment

The award was officially presented on the deGUT main stage, hosted by Jürgen and Marco Vito La-Greca, the duo behind MiU24®. Our three shareholders – Dr. Motte, Timm Zeiss, and Ellen Dosch-Roeingh – accepted the award on behalf of rave the planet gGmbH. Dr. Motte and Ellen are two of the original founders, while Timm joined as managing director in late 2021.

Right after receiving the award, they invited all the volunteers in the audience to join them on stage – for a group photo and as a clear sign that: There is no us without you.

The official photo, captured by Chris Bellevue, says it all: community, diversity, excitement – and a whole bunch of people who turn their passion for techno into real-world action. This award isn’t just for the team – it’s for our entire community. Without you, Rave The Planet wouldn’t be what it is: a living, growing, purpose-driven movement, carried by your ideas, your energy, and your spirit. From the parade to events, workshops, clean-ups or behind the scenes – the volunteers and the community are the heart of it all.
